The Dynamic Future: DFW

The Dynamic Future of DFW Event

I was tasked with the revitalization branding of a revived economic and business forum for Colliers International Dallas-Fort Worth. It was requested that I stay inline with other commercial real estate (CRE) events and the logo needed to work as an overlay over a wide-variety of mediums. Through researching similar events in the area, I focused on three different branding visual directions—upward motion, universe and rocket lift-offs.

Ultimately, we landed on the universe concept for the overall event theme. The event branding focused on converging and motion to represent the ever-evolving future. Which also inspired the word Dynamic, representing the significant aspects of the event - the synergy of CRE individuals and the motion towards the future.

Colliers International’s dark blue is a recognizable color, utilized through majority of their branding, it was collectively decided to not stray from that brand recognition. The event was hosted at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, including a deep, patriotic red created a sense of patriotism while also creating a sophisticated contrast with the Colliers’ blue.

The one-page event site was designed to be an easily digestible platform of event information- explaining the subject, announcing the panel of experts with links to their personal sites, and offering an official agenda.

In Concert with Ethos Media, my role was in development and storyboards beforehand as well as providing all graphic elements for the video recap creation. This video was sent out as a follow-up and recap to those that attended and those that missed event.

I considered how aspects of creative processes could be transitioned from a traditional space to the digital world. Previous years had no lead-up promotion or cohesive branding throughout the event. I pushed myself to think in a way that would enhance past experiences beforehand and during the event. It's astonishing how impactful a simple single-page site and cohesive visual look can connect people in a way that never happened for this event before.
